quarter 3 reminder for creatives

I'm Back. And This Is Your Reminder for Quarter Three.

I'm back after two weeks away with a reminder for quarter three. You don't have to start over, you have to press forward.

Hey. I'm back after two weeks away, and I want to tell you what the Lord did in that time before we even get into quarter three.

He knew. He knew I was going to read Philippians three this week. He knew I was going to sit with verses thirteen and fourteen. Paul says it like this. I do not consider that I have made it my own yet. But one thing I do, forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal.

I chose that scripture as my anchor a while back because I was starting over. Same career, different path. I stopped building for the world and started building with God. That was my new beginning.

But here is what quarter three taught me already. You do not have to start over again just because a new quarter started.

Review It, Don't Dwell In It

Before we build anything new, we have to be honest about quarter one and two. Not to sit in what didn't work. Just to ask why it didn't. Did I set goals? Did I meet them? Why or why not? Were the people around me actually helping me grow, or were some of them just taskmasters who called it something else?

I had some moments this quarter that made my eyebrow go up. A little hurt showed up that I didn't like. And I had to stop and ask, Lord, where did this come from. Because only joy and peace come from Him. So if I'm feeling something else, that's not from Him, that's something I need to bring to Him.

That's growth, by the way. Stopping to ask why instead of just blaming somebody else. I used to do that. Not anymore.

Are You Seeking Him or Seeking Validation

Somewhere in there I realized I had started seeking validation from people without even noticing. And God was like, no, no, no, we don't do that. Cursed is the one who seeks power from man. That's in Jeremiah.

So I rededicated it all again. Everything I do is for you, Lord. You put me where you need me, not where I think I need to be.

Ask yourself that this week. Are you building where you think you're supposed to be, or where He's actually placed you?

Intention Versus Outcome

This has been a big one for me this year. Not just believing people's words, believing their actions.

Is someone saying we're partnering together, when really they've just handed you a job? Are you paying into a coaching program or a subscription every month and getting no actual return? That's worth asking honestly.

Sometimes the vision was right but the pace was wrong. Sometimes the intention was clear but the follow through wasn't there. Did you have the right heart and still not execute? That's okay. Growth doesn't mean 100 percent. It means you're still building, still learning, still seeking wisdom.

The People You're Building With

A quarter three reset isn't just personal. It's about whether the people around you still fit where God is taking things.

This is where you find out if you're a people pleaser or if you're actually asking God first. Some people in your life are growing, just not there yet, and He'll tell you to hold on, don't go anywhere. Other people, He'll show you it's time to go. And when He tells you to get away, you get away.

You know in your heart who's for you. You know who's saying don't leave me instead of actually wanting your growth.

Pressing Forward, Not Starting Over

Quarter three is not about tearing it all down and starting fresh. It's about pressing forward with what's already been established.

You don't rebuild the foundation every quarter. You review it, reinforce it, and keep building on it. I've been building with God since March of 2024. I'm not rebuilding. I'm continuing, because He keeps bringing the right people into my life to build with.

That's the whole heart behind the reminder I text people every morning. This is your reminder. You've been called. It's time to answer. I started it for myself first, and now it's become this thing I share because we're here to answer that call and walk in victory, since He already has the victory.

Build Your Faith Daily

Faith is not a feeling. Hope is a feeling. Faith is confidence. No shadow of a doubt, this is going to happen. That's faith.

Get in the word daily. If you don't know where to start, try a Proverb a day. Philippians and Ephesians are both really good places to build from.

Sit With These Before You Plan Quarter Three

1. One thing from quarter one and two that I'm grateful I pushed through.

2. Where I drifted from the vision.

3. One adjustment I'm making for quarter three.

That vision, those gifts, those talents, they came from Him. He's given you strength for this. Keep growing. Keep building with Him.

This is your reminder. You've been called. It's time to answer.
